About Us
Steve and Helena Albers
Steve and Helena Albers have been married for 20 years and share the joy of their
blended family with five adult children, three married daughters and two sons. They
have four grand children with another one due in July 2008.
Steve and Helena have recently relocated to Green River, Wyoming. Together they
enjoy mentoring, teaching and ministering the gospel of their Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ.
Educational Background
- Steve and Helena both have Bachelors of Arts in Christian Education from Word of
Truth Bible College, Mason City, Iowa.
- Helena holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Buena Vista University,
Spirit Lake, Iowa ~ Mason City Center.
Ministry Experience
- Reverends Steve and Helena are ordained ministers and are currently serving as Associate
Pastors with Harvestime Church of Wyoming.
- Helena served as a Biblical Counselor with Life Counseling Center, Clear Lake, Iowa
for six years from 1996 to 2002.
- Helena was a volunteer counselor with the Caring Pregnancy Center in Mason City,
Iowa for four years.
- Helena and Steve were also involved in the administration of Word of Truth Bible
College and Helena taught several classes at the college. Steve and Helena are active
in many aspects of ministry as Associate Pastors with their home church. They oversee
all aspects of Christian Education from children to adult, including Sunday school,
Children’s Church, Adult Sunday School and Adult Bible Studies. They are involved
in pastoral care a mentors and counselors.
- Helena continues in Women’s Ministry as a counselor, teacher and giving Women’s
Conferences in Wyoming, Iowa and upcoming in California.
Pastors Steve and Helena’s first love is Jesus and their greatest desire is
to be used by God to teach, preach and minister the Gospel. Boot Camp Ministries
is a primary focus for both Steve and Helena in their personal spiritual growth.
The principles taught through their Biblical Foundations Series have been used by
God to bring about tremendous growth, strength and maturity in their personal relationship
with Jesus. They have experienced the faithfulness, grace and mercy of Jesus in
their marriage and with their family as well. Their goal in Boot Camp Ministries
is simply to give away to others what God has so graciously given them.
Wally and Linda Jordahl
Weldon (Wally) Jordahl was the founding leader and creator of Boot Camp Ministries.
Wally held a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and
had many years experience as a counselor. He and his wife, Linda, established Life
Counseling Center in 1985 to offer Biblical Counseling based solely on the Word
of God. Boot Camp Discipleship Training series was developed while counseling hurting
people. His life work was to give people hope, answers and freedom in Christ Jesus.
Wally died of cancer in October 1998.
Linda Jordahl is on the executive board of Boot Camp Ministries and remains in full
support of the ministry offered. She is an active member of her home church, Agape’
Christian Family Church, Clear Lake, Iowa. She facilitates and participates in Women’s
Bible Studies and mentors other women. Linda enjoys all sorts of activities with
family, including her eight grand children. She is also the owner/agent of a successful
independent insurance agency in Iowa.
Jennifer Chapman
Jennifer Chapman is currently a volunteer minister with Boot Camp Ministries in
Titonka and Algona, Iowa. Jennifer leads several groups of Women’s Bible Studies
each year, using the Boot Camp Discipleship Training series. She is involved in
her home church, Faith Assembly of God Church in Algona, Iowa as a leader of the
M & M (Mom’s Outreach Ministry) group and also facilitates adult Insight
groups.
Jennifer is available to mentor individual women and facilitate Women’s
Conferences in the Northern Iowa – Southern Minnesota area. Jennifer and her
husband, Tim, have four children and live in Titonka, Iowa.
